Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 29, 2026

Dansk Rumskrot ApS ("we", "us", "our") develops and publishes apps for Apple platforms. This privacy policy explains how our apps handle your data.

The Short Version

We don't collect your data. Nothing you do in our apps is reported to us, and we run no analytics, advertising or tracking. Your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud account — except where an app has to connect to a service to do its job: a public database, an account you sign in to yourself, or a server you choose. Every such connection is listed below.

Data Collection

Our apps do not collect, transmit, or store personal data on any server operated by Dansk Rumskrot. We do not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks of any kind.

Data Stored on Your Device

Our apps may store data locally on your device to function properly. This includes:

  • App preferences and settings — stored in the app's local storage
  • Credentials (where applicable) — stored securely in your device's Keychain, encrypted by the operating system. Some apps sync them through iCloud Keychain (see below).
  • Collections, decks, and user content — stored in the app's local database
  • Cached images — stored locally for offline access and performance

This data never leaves your device except via iCloud sync to your own Apple account (see below), or when an app sends it to a service as described under Network Connections.

iCloud Sync

Some of our apps use Apple's iCloud to sync your data across your own devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud account, managed by Apple, and is not accessible to us. Apple's privacy policy governs the handling of data stored in iCloud.

  • CloudKit: ManaScope (your collections and decks) and Syndicate (your subscriptions and reading state).
  • iCloud key-value storage: ManaScope, Rumskrot Remote (saved hosts and snippets) and Rumskrot Terminal (saved hosts, snippets and dashboard tiles).
  • iCloud Drive: Rumskrot Archives, when you keep your library in iCloud Drive.
  • iCloud Keychain: Auth for Tesla (your tokens and any Fleet API credentials you enter), Watch app for Tesla (your cars' VINs), Rumskrot Issues (your GitHub sign-in), Rumskrot Navigator (saved servers and their passwords) and Rumskrot Terminal (server passwords saved on iPhone). Private keys — the car keys Watch app for Tesla creates, and SSH and SFTP private keys — stay on the device that holds them and are not synced.

Network Connections

Our apps may make network connections for their core functionality. Every connection goes directly from your device to the service named — none passes through a server of ours:

  • Auth for Tesla connects directly to Tesla's OAuth servers for authentication, and to Tesla's API when you test a token. Your credentials are entered in a secure in-app browser and are never intercepted by or transmitted to us. If you use the Fleet API, the client ID and secret you enter are sent only to Tesla. The app also downloads its public list of supported third-party apps from GitHub; no personal information is sent.
  • Watch app for Tesla sends commands to your car over Bluetooth, directly from your iPhone or Apple Watch, with no internet connection involved. If you choose to sign in to your Tesla account on iPhone to look up your car's VIN, it connects directly to Tesla's sign-in and API servers for that single lookup.
  • ManaScope connects to the Scryfall API (a free, public Magic: The Gathering card database) to look up card data and images. To offer preconstructed decks it downloads a static deck list from our website, danskrumskrot.com, and, for new decks, the deck's card list from Archidekt. No personal information is sent. When you host a game, ManaScope runs a small server on your local network so other devices on your Wi-Fi can join.
  • Caravan Leveler uses peer-to-peer local networking to stream level data between your own devices. No internet connection is required.
  • PairPanic uses Apple's Game Center for leaderboards and multiplayer, and the local network to find nearby players.
  • RoadLens looks up places near you and along your route using Apple Maps and Look Around, Wikipedia and Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons and Panoramax (a free, open street-photo service). To do this it sends those services the approximate coordinates of the area it is searching. No account or personal information is sent.
  • Rumskrot Remote connects directly to the Screen Sharing (VNC) servers you specify, such as your Mac's built-in Screen Sharing service. No cloud relay is used.
  • Rumskrot Terminal connects to SSH servers you specify. Connections are direct — no proxy or relay is involved. If you connect an AWS account, it signs in through your organisation's AWS IAM Identity Center and connects directly to AWS to list and reach your EC2 instances.
  • Rumskrot Issues connects directly to GitHub (github.com and api.github.com) using your own GitHub account, to sign you in, file and read issues, and upload the attachments you choose. Nothing passes through us. GitHub's privacy statement governs the data you send to your GitHub account.
  • Syndicate fetches the feeds you subscribe to, the article pages they link to, and each site's own icon, directly from those sites. If you sign in to a sync service of your choice (a Google Reader API server), it connects directly to that service.
  • Rumskrot Navigator connects directly to the SMB and SFTP servers you specify, and looks for servers on your local network. It also uses the local network to send your saved servers to your Apple TV. No proxy or relay is involved.
  • Rumskrot Beacon sends the network probes you run (such as ping, DNS lookups, traceroute and TLS checks) directly to the hosts you specify. A few tools use a public service: My Network asks ipify (api.ipify.org) for your public IP address, the ASN tool asks ipinfo.io about the address you enter, Whois asks IANA and the registry that holds the domain, and DNS lookups on Apple Watch go to Cloudflare's public DNS service.

Rumskrot Archives, Rumskrot Lyrics (apart from finding other devices in the room, see below), Rumskrot Nearfield, Rumskrot Pulse and Traverse make no internet connections of their own; Traverse shows an Apple Maps map when you pick a target.

Camera Usage

ManaScope uses your device's camera to scan physical Magic: The Gathering cards. All image processing happens on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Camera images are never transmitted over the network or stored beyond the scanning session.

The camera is also used, only when you choose to, by Rumskrot Lyrics (to scan a printed or handwritten chord sheet), Watch app for Tesla (to read your car's VIN from its screen) and Rumskrot Navigator (to scan the code your Apple TV shows). In each case the picture is read on your device and is not stored or sent anywhere.

Location Data

Caravan Leveler uses your location to calculate the sun's direction relative to your caravan. Your location is processed on-device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Traverse uses your location to show your speed, heading, elevation, coordinates and distance to your target, and during a Journey keeps tracking in the background. Your location is processed on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

RoadLens uses your location and direction of travel to find places ahead of you, including in the background on Apple Watch when you start a drive. As described under Network Connections, it sends the approximate coordinates of the area it is searching to Apple Maps, Wikipedia and Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons and Panoramax. Your location is never sent to us. The places RoadLens shows you, and the ones you save, are kept on your device only.

Microphone and Speech

Rumskrot Lyrics uses the microphone for its tuner and so you can say a song's name to search your library. Sound is analysed on your device as it arrives and speech recognition runs only on your device; nothing is recorded, stored or sent anywhere.

Bluetooth, NFC and Local Network

Rumskrot Pulse scans for nearby Bluetooth devices, Rumskrot Nearfield reads and writes the NFC tags you hold to your device, and Watch app for Tesla talks to your car over Bluetooth. What these apps find stays on your device.

Apps that ask for local network access use it to reach devices and servers on your own network: Caravan Leveler, ManaScope, PairPanic, Rumskrot Beacon, Rumskrot Lyrics (to find the other phones and iPads in the room so a band can follow the same song), Rumskrot Navigator, Rumskrot Remote and Rumskrot Terminal.

Health and Motion

Traverse reads your device's barometric altimeter. With your permission, Traverse on Apple Watch records each Journey as a workout and saves it to Apple Health, and reads your workouts, heart rate, active energy and walking distance so it can show the session it created. This data stays in Apple Health and is never sent to us. Caravan Leveler uses your device's motion sensors to measure how level your caravan is, on your device.

On-Device Intelligence

Some apps use Apple Intelligence's on-device model: RoadLens (to understand what you are looking for and explain why a place might interest you), Rumskrot Issues (to help write and summarise issues), Syndicate (to summarise articles) and Rumskrot Terminal (to turn a plain-language request into a shell command). This runs entirely on your device; nothing is sent to us or to any AI service.

In-App Purchases

Some of our apps offer in-app purchases or subscriptions processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs purchase transactions.

Game Center

PairPanic and Offroad Mania RC use Apple's Game Center for leaderboards, and PairPanic also for multiplayer. Your Game Center profile and scores are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Our apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we don't collect personal information from anyone, this applies equally to users of all ages.

Third-Party Services

Our apps do not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party services our apps communicate with are those essential to their function and named under Network Connections above (such as Tesla, Scryfall, Archidekt, GitHub, Wikipedia and Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Panoramax, AWS, ipify, ipinfo.io and Cloudflare's DNS), Apple's own services, and the servers, sites and services you choose yourself.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
