Release Notes

Every release of Rumskrot Pulse, newest first.

Version 1.0.1 September 30, 2026

Initial release — a Bluetooth LE debugger that goes all the way down the stack.

The first public release of Rumskrot Pulse. See what every device nearby is actually saying, then walk the whole GATT tree, right on your device.

What shipped in 1.0.1

  • Beacons decoded right in the scan list — iBeacon UUID/major/minor, Eddystone URL or UID, and Apple Continuity messages named.
  • Unnamed devices fingerprinted from their advertisement: heart rate monitors, RuuviTags, Tile trackers, Nordic DFU targets, Matter commissioners and more.
  • Live RSSI sparklines on every row, plus distance estimates for beacons carrying calibrated TX power.
  • Full GATT tree walk — every service, characteristic and descriptor, with SIG names, properties, and negotiated MTU / write sizes.
  • Structured reads, live notify/indicate timelines, and writes with or without response.
  • Live sensor dashboards for heart rate with RR-interval HRV, battery drain rate, and environmental sensing.
  • A timestamped CoreBluetooth event log for every callback: connect, discover, read, write, notify, RSSI, disconnect.
  • GATT snapshot diffing — compare two walks after a firmware update and see what changed.
  • Nordic Secure DFU firmware upload through Nordic’s official library.
  • An L2CAP connection-oriented channel tester, and an offline advertisement decoder for pasted hex.
  • A companion Apple Watch app that scans with the watch’s own radio.
  • Every tool available from Shortcuts and the Action Button, with run history and CSV/JSON export.
  • No backend, no telemetry, no accounts — everything runs on-device.
